To help new graduate students adapt to the pace of academic research and enhance their academic exchange and research capabilities, the School of Foreign Studies at Jiangnan University successfully held the 30th “Striving on the Research Path” event—the “Forum Voyage - Academic Growth” Graduate Academic Forum Experience Sharing Session—in Room A206 of the Liberal Arts Building on the afternoon of November 21, 2025. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from the School’s 2024 and 2025 intake master’s students and other interested students.

During the academic forum experience sharing segment, three graduate students from different research directions provided clear and detailed explanations based on their own experiences participating in provincial-level graduate student innovation forums:

She shared her gains and insights from the “2025 Jiangsu Graduate Student Foreign Language and Literature Academic Innovation Forum.”

Quan Qinuo, from the Linguistics direction, presented on “Cross-boundary Integration and Breakthrough—The Path of Linguistic Innovation Practice.” She demonstrated how to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives into linguistic research and live-demonstrated the analytical tools and presentation logic used in her award-winning work, providing peers with a practical path for research innovation.

Huang Jiaxuan, from the Translation direction, shared her experiences on the theme of “Translation Studies and Participating in Academic Forums.” She discussed how to focus research directions through extensive reading and recommended multiple practical academic APPs and AI tools to help students prepare for conferences efficiently and with ease.

In the subsequent interactive Q&A session, students asked questions enthusiastically. The three speakers provided detailed answers based on their own experiences regarding forum participation details and research challenges, creating a lively atmosphere.

The event also invited Liu Jun, a trainer from the CNKI database, to conduct a special lecture titled “Research Tools and Method Innovation: Boosting Academic Research Efficiency.” Teacher Liu introduced in detail the functions and usage techniques of the CNKI database, including literature search and screening, tracking the latest research trends, journal analysis, and submission guidance, providing strong tool support for the students’ academic research.

Furthermore, Quan Qinuo, Liang Ying, Du Min, and Luo Xi shared review strategies and time management experiences on the theme of “Final Exam Preparation,” helping new students better cope with academic challenges.

At the end of the event, host Quan Qinuo summarized the sharing session, encouraging students to actively participate in academic activities, bravely explore, continuously break through, and advance steadily on their research paths.

This "Striving on the Research Path" event not only built a platform for exchange and learning for graduate students but also further ignited their academic enthusiasm and research motivation, injecting new vitality into the academic atmosphere of the School of Foreign Studies.
